SUMMARY:I walked over and spoke with Ron Caldwell again. He said I absolutely needed to get back to the Talkeetna River because Mount Denali was out in all her glory – no fog! So, I raced over then, found a good parking spot, and sat on a rock in front of the river for hours. One guy asked if he could share my rock with him because I had the best seat in the world! He and his wife were locals and noticed on the cam that the Mount was out from under the fog, so they raced over! The wife was shocked I drove all the way here by myself; the husband said he was trying to get rid of his wife because he loved what I was doing, and his wife did not like to travel. I tried to convince her she should travel with her husband! I think I took another 200 photos this morning! I walked around the river and got more shots. I could tell my throat was getting raw, so I headed back home after buying some fudge from an elderly couple, locals from Talkeetna.

Spent all day in Talkeetna, talking to people, getting a halibut sandwich at a special restaurant, and then walked back to the campground. It was truly time to rest and read about the traveling coming up during the next two weeks!
