SUMMARY:Today it was my job to get to Anchorage. Many RV’ers recommended I should skip it completely; they warned about homeless people and an unsafe city. I found out for myself! But I was really sick and had no choice but to lay low. I stopped at the Walgreen’s store in Wasilla and loaded up with cough syrup, antihistamines, and flu medicine. I wasn’t running a fever, so that was a good thing. But I felt lousy. Got to Ship Creek RV Park around noon. What a disappointment. It was located in an industrial area that was definitely not safe to walk alone! So, it was another rest day, taking medication, doing paperwork, and laying low.oat. This campground was perfect; it was quiet and just what I needed to lay low.
