SUMMARY:Today I drove from Anchorage to Seward, a 124-mile scenic drive through beautiful glaciers, meadows, marshes, mountains, etc. I stopped at the Little Rabbit Creek Bluff Park, but it was a bit windy and raining. It was a beautiful marsh and safe place for birds and waterfowl. The boardwalk was awesome; I could imagine coming here often if I lived in Anchorage. I also saw the Potter Marsh Coastal Refuge, a special place for sea ducks, geese and swans, dabbling ducks and diving ducks. What a special place for migrating birds and waterfowl. A special stopping place was Beluga Point where I took photos. No beluga whales today on this very gray, overcast day. But the low hanging clouds over the mountain range here were spectacular. My next stopping point was Bird Point in Chugach State Park. The hardwood trees against the multicolored rocks were just beautiful! I walked up to the Bird Point and took photos. It is really a special place. A special shelter at the top made me think this would be a great place for a bald eagle to hang out!  As I drove further, it was obvious how the glaciers receded leaving a deep fjord, but then the fjord now was filled with sedimentation from the tides. These mudflats cannot be walked on because they turn into quicksand! You would have to get help fast before the tides came in to be rescued. Amazing site! The Seward Waterfront Park was also spectacular as I inched closer to Seward. Mountaintops covered in fog, beautiful water tides. The Seward Municipal Campground was awesome.
