I walked to the awesome town of Talkeetna with it’s Alaska charm, old historic buildings, and wonderful photography and arts and craft stores. I talked to Ron Caldwell for a long time about his photography, visited the aurora borealis photos of Aurora Dora! There are so many interesting arts and crafts and food places. Very expensive place to land for a few days. I noticed that Mount Denali was almost out of the fog, taking hundreds of photos, so I called to see if I could take a flight that evening. There was a spot available. So, by 6 pm I walked to A2 Aviation and got checked in. The pilot asked if I was traveling alone and seemed surprised. He asked if I wanted to sit in the co-pilot seat next to him! OMG! I did not hesitate for a split second. The rest is documented with 300 photographs. See my blog about this experience. The sun setting on Ruth Glacier was phenomenal. We got back around 8:30 pm and I was in seventh heaven after that experience. It definitely was a top of the world adventure and well worth it!
