Yep, the road from Tok to Burwash Landing seemed worse than it was when I entered Alaska. It was just simply awful. I got to the Beaver Creek customs station at 9:37 am. It was much easier this time than when I entered Canada via Portal, North Dakota. I took several photos of the horribly non-maintained road that doesn’t look like it will ever be finished. I kept traveling until I got to Kluane Lake. It was so beautiful, and when I saw other campers sitting next to the lake, I decided I found my boondock camping site for the night. The sunset was spectacular, but not as beautiful as the sunrise the next morning, and it was all free for the night’s stay! I think Yukon was really a special place for me. Unfortunately, when I was driving through the Ibex Valley, I was excited to see some wild horses, until I got closer and noticed that a colt had been killed by a moving vehicle. It was really sad. One dominant wild horse was standing guard over the colt. The look in her eyes seemed to be pleading for someone to stop and help. I cried for the next two hours!
