The Madeline Island School of Art photography course started this morning. My campsite is only 4 miles from the school and a very pleasant drive. On this drive I saw my first “Turtle Crossing” sign!!! The campsite at the Big Bay State Park is quiet with showers right across the street. Very convenient for taking courses at the School of Art. This school used to be a dairy farm; I have taken pictures of all of the buildings; they are named after their original function. They offer courses in studio painting, plein air painting, quilting, photography, fiber arts, urban sketching, mixed media and writing. They have campuses in Santa Fe, Tucson, Asilomar CA, and Bar Harbor, Maine.
